Tower Peak Partners (“Tower Peak” or “TPP”), a global investment firm launched in 2024 and led by Anthony Catachanas, is pleased to announce that it has opened offices in both Panama City, Panama and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. These offices will allow TPP to initiate its coverage of South America, Central America and the Caribbean, markets the firm has identified as crucial for the global industrial transition.
Tower Peak has already launched fundraising for several investment strategies across sustainable industrial private equity, infrastructure, natural capital and intellectual property. It has generated significant investor support from the team’s extensive network of established institutional investors and global industrial corporations.
The office in Panama, focusing on Latin America, North of the Equator and the Caribbean, will be led by Mahesh Khemlani and Victor Bremer, both Managing Partners at Tower Peak.
- Mahesh Khemlani, Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer, Northern LATAM & Caribbean – prior to Tower Peak, Mahesh served as a cofounder and Managing Partner of Emergis Capital Group, a middle market focused merchant banking firm focused on financing Latin American industrial infrastructure projects. He also worked for the Ministry of Finance of Panama, where he held several important roles including serving as Deputy Minister of Finance. He has also held a number of advisory roles with several of Panama’s subsequent cabinet members, as well as a business advisor to the Securities Division of Goldman Sachs and the Corporate and Investment Bank of Banco Santander. Mahesh also spent some time working on Wall Street for CIBC World Markets and Standard & Poor’s.
- Victor Bremer, Managing Partner & Chief Operating Officer, Northern LATAM & Caribbean – an accomplished entrepreneur with a profound dedication to the energy and real asset investment worlds. Prior to Tower Peak, Victor was a Founding Member and Chief Commercial Officer at Motus Energy LLC, a San Antonio, Texas-based midstream energy company, backed by a large London-listed private equity fund, which Anthony Catachanas previously co-founded. He is also one of the Founding Partners of Munich-based Quantitative Hedge Fund, Quantumrock GmbH. Victor also spent time working for global energy group BP in both London and Madrid as well as JP Morgan Corporate and Investment Bank in London.
The Brazil office, based in Rio de Janeiro and focusing on Latin America, South of the Equator will be led by Sergio Figueiredo and Rodrigo Victer, also both Managing Partners at Tower Peak.
- Sergio Figueiredo, Managing Partner & Chief Investor Officer Private Equity, Southern LATAM & Brazil – prior to Tower Peak, Sergio was the co-Founder and Managing Partner of Regent Capital Partners, a Brazilian Investment and Advisory firm specialized in renewable energy investments and industrial corporate finance. Before this, he was a Partner at Evercore’s Private Equity operation in Brazil, called G5 Evercore serving as Chief Investment Officer for their generalist mid-cap private equity fund. Sergio was also a Partner at Brazilian investment firm, Fiducia Asset Management focused on industrial investments. He also worked as a principal investor at industrial firms Vale and Grupo Orsa.
- Rodrigo Victer, Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer Infrastructure, Southern LATAM & Brazil - prior to Tower Peak, Rodrigo was the co-Founder and Managing Partner of Regent Capital Partners, a Brazilian Investment and Advisory firm specialized in renewable energy investments and industrial corporate finance. Before Regent Capital, Rodrigo was an Investment Banker in the M&A Metals and Mining Team at ABN Amro and later Royal Bank of Scotland in London. He also spent some time working for London industrial M&A boutique and HSBC Bank in Sao Paulo.
